My thoughts:
Now that I have a middle schooler and I see my other children getting older, I find it increasingly difficult to carve away time to spiritually strengthen them. Ironically, as our children age they need more and more spiritual nourishment to see them through the hard times of adolescence. From swearing, immodesty, bullying, and temptations that come with being a teen, our children now more than ever need us to share with them encouraging thoughts based in spiritual nature. I have often pondered how I could bring my children closer to Christ and closer together as family. I will admit there have been times recently where I feel like I am losing my family to school, extracurricular, and friends and this book could not have entered our lives in a more opportune time. With 5 minutes a day I can bring my family together to fortify and prepare us for whatever life may bring that day. 52 weeks to Fortify Your Family contains everything you need to spiritually arm your family. Each day there is a thought and scripture to read for every day of the year. At the end of every week, there are a few questions to discuss or ponder. I give this book 5 stars for ease of use and for its ability to bring my family peace. I truly feel that this is an inspired work that can bring your family closer together and closer to Christ.
