New Music Monday

I am on the look out for new music to download (again) this week.  Here are two I am currently listening to:

Idina Menzel – Holiday Wishes

For any broadway fans, or heck, even Frozen fans we all know Idina’s voice and love her.  So to say her newest holiday album is amazing is not overstating it at all.  I appreciate that she doesn’t go crazy trying to remake songs, add her own spin, etc.  Its classic songs and a flawless, clear voice.  My favorite tracks are When You Wish Upon A Star, and Baby Its Cold Outside (duet with  Michael Buble).  The video with little kids as the singers is adorable too.

Mary J Blige – London Sessions

I love Mary J Blige of the 90s.  I am not sure how much I love this new album.  Collaborating with Sam Smith, Jimmy Napes and a few others,  her new studio Album, The London Sessions, was just released December 2 on Capitol Records.  I am no music critic so I can’t pretend to take apart all of the songs and compare them to her other albums, etc.  I just know I am LOVING the first track, Therapy and will give the others a few more listens before I decide for sure.  Blige describes the album as “fun, theraputic and soulful”.
