My Thoughts:
As a food lover who desires to be healthy, it is important to me to find recipes that are better for me but still taste good. I also find it very important to encourage healthy eating habits in my children so they have the energy to keep up with school and extracurricular. Enter Sugar Free Mom, delicious recipes that use natural sweeteners so I can serve my family delicious food they enjoy and that I feel good about.
I have a son who is sensitive to sugar, and will be bouncing off the walls if given too much. A few years ago, I started noticing how store bought foods would affect his behavior and I started cutting out things like food dyes and products that contain high fructose corn syrup. I noticed a change in his behavior for the better. He could sit for longer periods of time, could concentrate longer, and was generally more pleasant. However, I also found that he was at times resistant to the healthy food I was serving him and wasn’t getting the nutrients he needed. Sugar Free Mom is like an answer to my prayers. I can serve my son food he enjoys while knowing it won’t negatively affect his health or behavior.
Sugar Free Mom breaks down the types of sugar and information about each natural sweetener included in her recipes. Recipes from Sugar Free Mom include nutritional information and all are gluten free. Brenda gives you all the information you need to cut the sugar from your family’s diet.
What recipe to try first? The Oatmeal Seed Bread is divine.
