Monopoly Jr Review

I got my first Influenster VoxBox to review this week, and it’s the Hasboro game, Monopoly Jr Whuhoooo!

I remember playing Candy Land as a kid, and in fact it was the first board game I bought my kids when they were toddlers. I still love that game board with Candy Cane Lane and the scrumptious candy images. It’s soooo cute! Pass the twizzlers!

Now that they are older (9,9 & 7) my kids love playing video games. I wasn’t totally sure how much time they would want to spend on a board game.

However, my daughter was so excited to play, that she opened the box immediately and started setting up.
It was only a matter of minutes before my husband joined her, and then the boys were also picking out their games pieces and ready to play.

That first evening they played non-stop for 2 hours! I had to interrupt them for dinner and then they wanted to play again before bed. The next day, it was the first thing my daughter wanted to do after school.
And they’ve been playing every day this week.
I have to say a little friendly competition goes a long way in this house!

The game is easy to navigate for younger kids, and you can play really simple rules, or adapt a few rules to fit your family. My husband will sometimes team up with my daughter against her older brothers!
They have already enjoyed hours of playing time together. I would recommend this game to anyone with kids under 8.

Thanks Hasboro and Influenster!
