Ballerina Fashionista: Fashion with Friends

Is there anything better than spending time with a friend?  Maybe eating a cookie while spending time with a friend?!  Meet my friend Miss Tumblina.  We call her that because she does competitive gymnastics.  Her family moved into town just days before school started and we became fast friends.  She is one of those friends who once they enter your life, you can’t imagine life without them and they just fill a void you never knew existed.

I thought it would be fun to start a series where I introduce you to some of my fashionable friends.  Every tween has their own personal style and by showing you some of my friends, you may find that one of them has a style closer to yours.  When my mom and I started Ballerina Fashionista, we wanted to inspire tween girls everywhere to love themselves as they are, braces and all, because there is nothing more beautiful than being you.  We feel that taking care of ourselves inside and out, helps us express ourselves in the best possible way.

This past weekend, Miss Tumblina joined me on a trip to Love at First Bite.  It’s this little whimsical shop downtown by the pier that sells decor, trinkets, old fashioned toys, and delicious desserts.

We had so much fun looking the jewelry table, the old fashioned toys, and the yummy desserts.

We each bought a cookie and headed out to the pier to eat them.  You can’t find a more beautiful spot in town than the pier overlooking the frozen, snow covered river.

We always have so much fun together whether it’s watching a high school football game or browsing the quirky shops.  I hope you have a friend who is just like Miss Tumblina.  A friend who likes you just the way you are.
