Book Review – Sophia by Paula Kremser

Sophia by Paula KremserAbout the book:

Small-town Sophia Spencer can’t believe her luck when an unexpected inheritance allows her to experience London’s social scene. But her happiness disappears when she is caught napping in a grumpy gentleman’s room—and forced into an engagement to protect her reputation! Personalities collide and love blooms in this stunning debut novel.

My Thoughts:

Sophia has never met her Grandmother, and is surprised to find out she is to inherit her Grandmother’s fortune.  Sophia’s dream of going to London is suddenly a reality!  Only, London isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.  The dresses itch and her busy social calendar leaves her wanting nothing more than to sleep.  One evening at all ball, Sophia is caught napping in a gentleman’s room and causes quite the commotion.  The only option is for them to be married at once to save her reputation!  Except this gentleman is not only grumpy, but also quite rude.  How can Sophia marry him?  Wouldn’t it be better to have a ruined reputation?

Though I love to read books of all genres, I will admit that I am a sucker for a good romance.  Throw in a good regency era setting and I am hooked!  Sophia is a lighthearted, quick read reminiscent of a Jane Austen novel.  Overall I loved this book and couldn’t put it down!  If you like clean romance, or Jane Austen, check out Sophia!
