TGIT–Scandal – Which Team Are You?

Where is Olivia Pope? She’s with Ballard, but that’s all we know. Though, I wish we knew exactly where she was (we can’t, but you’ll find out tonight). We will discuss why Olivia should stay with Jake or return to Fitz.

CRYSTAL:

My reasons for Olivia to stay with Ballard are purely selfish. I just think he’s amazing. He’s exactly what she needs. He stands up for her, he saves her, and he lets her be who she needs to be. Don’t believe me? Watch the video below.

If that’s not enough to convince you, then I don’t know what will, but a man who really looks at you and likes the things that are really you, I mean really, you can’t get any better than that.

My top 5 reasons she needs to stay:

1. He’s Jake FREAKING Ballard.
2. Have you seen him without his shirt on?
3. He actually wants to save Olivia, and by save I mean stand by her side and face things together. As much as he wants to save her, he wants her to save him.
4. He makes her FORGET about Fitz, which would be a pretty hard task to do.
5. He gets things done. He does what he has to for the greater good and doesn’t hide behind his actions. He owns them and doesn’t make excuses.

JESSICA:

I am touting the Olitz flag. When Scandal first started the forbidden love affair between the most powerful man in the world and his Communications Director turned DC Political Fixer was something so steamy, we only whispered about it. (Not that I am one who is in favor of people having extramarital affairs… because I am not.) As the show progressed and we saw the evolution of them as people and characters, we began to see that it was not just some quicky in the White House server room… although, who can forget that episode?!

Olivia saved Fitz. She doomed him, yes, when she you know… fixed the election and what not, but when all the dust settles, she saved him. He was and still is, in a loveless marriage. She didn’t fall in love with him because of what he was destined to become or how blue his blood was. She fell in love with him because of who he was underneath it all.

Fitz fell in love with the woman he never could have. His father (the creep that he is) made all the decisions for him, what colleges he would go to, who he would marry, if he would run for office… Fitz has daddy issues, we get it. But Olivia was the light he had been searching his entire life for.

Top 5 Reasons To Be Team Fitz:

1. He would do anything for her. He wants to save her (Even though she is not the girl you save)
2. He loves her despite who her CRAZY parents are.
3. He wants to grow old with her, make jam with her and have lots of little babies with her.
4. He makes secret, off the books, trips to her house in the stealth of night and was willing to give up the WHITE HOUSE FOR HER.

5. HE BUILT HER A FREAKING HOUSE IN VERMONT. (see clip below for one of the most emotional declarations of love I have ever seen.)

Where in the world is Olivia Pope? Who knows, but Fitz needs her and we all know she needs him.
