It’s possible that I’ve had a crush on Kermit the Frog since my early days of Sesame Street. And I’m pretty sure I could take Miss Piggy. (Truth be told I’m still baffled by the whole pig/frog deal…?)
Regardless, I was super stoked to enjoy and share my Muppet love with my offspring with a Muppets Most Wanted Viewing Party!
After all,
‘It’s the most sensational
Inspirational
Celebrational
Muppet-ational
This is what we call The Muppet Show…Most Wanted!’

My daughter and I decided on some simple, yet fitting munchables!

Miss Piggy Pops – (frozen banana stawberry pudding, frozen on a popsicle stick)
Muppet Milkshakes – ala Kermit Green (mint green ice cream stirred up with milk)
Fozzie Bear Caramel Corn – (kind of looks like Fozzie?)
Piggy Pizza – bacon…and cheese! Lots of cheese. One of my favourite Muppet qualities is cheesy good fun!
Cheesy chips – See above. Or maybe we just wanted Pringles…
And my personal favourite… Tina Fey Pink Lemonade! – Just the right amount of sweet and tart…refreshing!
My kids and I all enjoyed watching the movie. There was something for everybody!
- 9yr old boy 1 – Liked everything about the movie! Favorite Muppets: Kermit and Walter.
- 9yr old boy 2 – Liked when Kermit was trying to escape from prison, especially his final attempt from the toilet. *oops, spoiler alert! Favorite Muppets: Kermit AND Constantine.
- 7yr old girl – Liked when they out out that Kermit was in Russia *spoiler alert again
- And her favorite Muppet is Fozzie Bear
- We all loved Phil Dunphy
- And I found Ricky Gervais especially delightful as Dominic Badguy.
Thanks Muppets Most Wanted for a great family movie night!

So cute! I love the idea of making a regular old movie night into something special. I like how your foods fit the movie, but aren’t over the top. Totally doable for the busy mom who doesn’t have all day to spend in the kitchen.
thanks Katie – If I waited for over-the-top we’d never get anything done here…ever! haha
