What I Wore: Farmers Markets

Ballerina Fashionista

Is there anything better than going to market on a sunny, summer, Saturday morning?  I love the smell of fresh baked artisan bread and herbs from local gardens.  You can find soaps, lip balms, and lotions made from goat’s milk and genuine turquoise jewelry among the typical produce found at local markets.

The key to enjoying yourself at the farmers market is to dress lightly.  Even if you go in the morning, it gets hot outside pretty fast, especially when you pass those tents where they are deep frying or cooking food. A floaty, cotton dress is pure perfection and looks chic when paired with a floppy sun hat.  A thin belt adds definition to the waist and sunglasses look classy while protecting your eyes from the sun.  A cute pair of studs is all the jewelry you need and a pair of sandals comfortable for walking.

Dress – Mudd at Kohls
Floppy Sun Hat – The Children’s Place
Pink Patent Belt – Target clearance ()
White Rose Studs – Claire’s
Chambray Bow Sandals – Justice ()

We came home with a loaf of asiago basil artisan bread and a bag of huckleberries.  Pretty much this morning was perfection.

XOXO,
