Redefining Casual – Utility Jacket

May 21, 2015 by Katie

Since I”ve been being more selective with my clothing purchases, I try to make sure every piece I buy is versatile and classic.  What I”ve come to understand about fashion is that it rotates with most trends popping up again every decade or so.  Or certain pieces are always in style but gets tweaked to be considered in style.  When you buy pieces that are classic, you don”t have to worry so much about trying to stay caught up with the latest trends and your pocketbook will thank you.

Cute and casual outfit idea on LLDC

I had a military jacket from high school that is still in mint condition, and though I haven”t worn it in quite a while, I”m happy I never got rid of it.  I can still wear it open but sadly I can”t close it anymore and it”s a little more fitted than I prefer.  4 kids, 35 more pounds, and 12 years will do that to ya.  Anyway, when Old Navy had a great coupon code, I was stalking up on a few summer essentials when I decided to look at the outerwear section….because that”s what you do when there”s a great coupon code amiright?  And I found this awesome utility jacket.

Cute way to dress up a white tee and jeans. Redefining Casual, a women

This jacket has been online casino my spring sidekick, joining me on trips to the grocery store, the park, and a few dinner dates.  Though I”ve worn it with skirts, dresses, shorts, what have you, I like how it dresses up a plain white tee and jeans.

Cute tassel necklace with tee and jeans. Perfect casual outfit. LLDC

I picked up this gold tassel necklace the other day and thought it added a little something to my very basic outfit.  My trusty leopard print athletic shoes rounded out the outfit.  I bought the shoes on a whim last fall and I wear them more than any other shoes I own (though I just got some Birkenstocks so those might take their place).
