Does anyone else take a break from buying clothing during the year? I do. As I wear uniforms to school, I don’t need as much weekend style clothing to get me through the school year (when I wrote that I had the strangest thought of Nacho Libre saying “These are my leisure clothes.”) Also, there is snow in Idaho for about 6 months out of the year so I tend to buy more winter type clothing items in fall and early winter and take a buying break from January through the end of March. I typically have all my staple pieces by then and will mix and match to get through the rest of winter.
I love finding new ways to wear my old clothing. For this look, I even incorporated a school uniform blouse! I have been wanting to try out this outfit since I did my 5 Ways to Style a Leather Skirt. I would best describe this look as classy with edge.
White Shirt // Faux Leather Skirt // // // Statement Necklace // Swarovski Crystal Earrings () // Bow
I love this look! It’s one of my favorite ways to wear my leather skirt (the other favorite is the casual look with a sweater). Don’t feel pressured to always be buying new clothing. Consider shopping your closet and wearing combinations you haven’t tried before. One of the perks for waiting to buy spring clothing? By the end of March, most spring lines will be on sale or even clearance and you can get more bang for your buck.
