Ballerina Fashionista: Enjoying Winter Break

Hello again!  How was everyone’s Christmas?  I had a wonderful Christmas with my family and I have been enjoying winter break from school.  On Christmas Eve my Papa Joe and Grandma Mie led all the grandchildren on a scavenger hunt and we received gifts along the way.  Our first gift and clue were hats that made us look like black bears or moose.  Our second gift/clue was black fleece jackets and red buffalo check scarves (the boys got buffalo check jackets).  For our third and final clue, we were each given a train with a letter painted on top.  We had to put our trains together and unscramble the letters to spell a word.  Can you guess what it was?   ALASKA!  WE ARE GOING ON AN ALASKAN CRUISE IN JUNE!  I am so stinking excited I can’t even tell you.  I am already planning my outfits so I can show you some great fashion ideas amongst the most beautiful backdrop ever.

The day before Christmas Eve we were cleaning, wrapping presents, doing last minute shopping and generally getting ready for the big day.  It was overcast and unusually warm for this time of year and I was mourning what I thought would be anything but a white Christmas.  To cheer myself up, I threw on a cute outfit and went about my day.

There is something so magical about putting on a great outfit.  It can instantly uplift your mood.  This leopard print peplum blouse and gray cardigan over leggings was just what I needed.

My outfit must have been magical because it snowed on Christmas Eve and we woke up to the whole town blanketed in snow!  I can’t wait to show you some of the great gifts I was given!  Check back to see my Christmas haul.

XOXO,
