Every Thanksgiving, it’s especially meaningful to go around the table and express what you are most thankful for. It invites a spirit of gratitude and brings people closer together. But every once in a while, you need a little spin on the original, right? Hence, the creation of the Thanksgiving Sgobble! If your family likes a little friendly competition, it doesn’t get any better than this! You can be all warm and fuzzy about your feelings and still have some fun. Win-win!
How to play:
1 Print off a sheet for each person.
2. In the numbered squares at the top of the page, each person writes a few things they are thankful for (one letter in each square). There are three lines provided, so three words is fine. But if you really want to squeeze words on the play-board section, you can use extra squares to make more words (the more gratitude, the better!).
3. Cut the top section of the paper off (see the white dots separating the upper from the lower sections) and cut out each little square you’ve written your letters on.
4. Re-arrange your letters on the play-board so that each word is somehow connected by a common letter.
5. Tally up your points (this is where the friendly competition kicks in!), write your name at the top of the play-board and share with those you love!
The person with the most Sgobble points gets extra pie- or gets to wash the dishes… whatever! Happy Thanksgiving!
