Welcome to Summer!
The supplies are brought home. The kids are signing yearbooks. The bell rings. School’s out for summer!!! My oldest daughter just finished her last year of elementary school and will be attending middle school this fall, so we decided to make the start of this summer extra special.
While the kids were at school, I decorated the van with car markers I found at the dollar store.
I hung streamers from our awning above the front door and I made a “Welcome to Summer,” sign for the girls to bust through.
I also had a bag of summer goodies waiting for them on the top step.
It’s time to pick up the girls from school! On the way out of the house, hubby grabbed some sombrero’s for us to wear. Not sure why but it upped the silliness factor.
We rolled down the windows and played music really loud. Our top picks where, “What Time Is It,” – High School Musical 2, “Party in the USA,” – Miley Cyrus, and “I Love It, clean version,” – Icona Pop.
Here they come!
We successfully embarrassed Jozlyn. They had fun breaking through the sign.
Overall I would say it was a success. The girls were very surprised and it was a day they are sure to remember.
