So for Valentines I wanted to show how you can dress up some dollar store items to make a really cute package.
My kids really like the box valentines and I like that by writing their names they help them print better. Its great for teaching kids spacing when they write there names, but I just don’t love character valentines. Making valentines every year with my kids is one of my favorite activities to do with them, so we made a compromise. Kids get Cars, Star Wars, and Sofia The First if I get to put it in something cuter.

My other son wanted to repeat what we did last year, which was a can of pop. Not wanting to repeat myself, I switched it up a bit. Last year had Crush Soda with his picture saying “I Have A Crush On You Valentine!” so this year we wrote “I am SODA-lighted that you are in my class!” We included a cute straw and put it in a cellophane bag.
- put them in a some sort of container or bag
- attach a prize ( find the bulk ones in the birthday aisle or cans of pop)
- put a coordinating tag with it…which can either be a printable or a handwritten note. ( find these in the home office or birthday/stationary/label sections I love to use my own handwriting…so sometimes I just go that route.
